Commissioning Engineer – Midlands/South – £40,000 + Benefits
We are currently recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation. With a salary of up to £40,000 plus benefits, this is an excellent opportunity to join a company renowned for its expertise in delivering innovative solutions.
The organisation has a strong reputation in the data centre industry, providing state-of-the-art equipment to major clients. They also serve various other sectors, such as shopping centres, hospitals, and chemical plants, with projects scheduled until at least June 2026.
Due to increasing project demands, they are seeking to hire a Commissioning Engineer on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will:
- Verify and confirm sensor connections and ensure system inputs are accurately configured.
- Collaborate closely with experienced engineers to assist with troubleshooting and system validation.
- Work across various sites, primarily in the South, including locations like Bath, Farnborough, and Heathrow.
- Spend the first 12 months working alongside senior engineers for guidance and support.
- Occasionally work weekends and travel extensively (Monday–Friday).
- A solid understanding of electrical systems and schematics.
- Hands-on experience, ideally gained through an apprenticeship.
- A willingness to work away from home as required.
- Experience with commissioning air handling units or similar systems.
- Comprehensive training, including sponsorship for additional qualifications.
- Paid door-to-door travel and a company vehicle.

- Generous overtime rates (1.5x for hours over the contract).
