Commercial Accountant

Artis Finance and Accountancy are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Accountant to join an established business near Weymouth. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and growing company. You will play a key role in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement while ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.

Commercial Accountant Key Responsibilities…

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance and relevant regulations are met.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
• Manage VAT returns and other tax-related filings.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and monitor financial controls.
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.

Commercial Accountant Experience…

• Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Experience with financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Xero).
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
