Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and manage the global operations of invenioLSI, a leading provider of SAP solutions across diverse industries. As COO, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, overseeing business strategy execution, and ensuring seamless collaboration across our global offices. You will be based in the US or UK, reporting to the CEO, working across multiple time zones and managing teams in various regions to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

  • Lead and optimize the company's global operations, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of SAP solutions implementation services and support/management services across multiple regions.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and policies that align with the company’s business objectives and growth goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement in operational workflows.

Global Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse, high-performing team across multiple time zones, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Ensure teams are aligned with the company's strategic objectives and equipped with the resources to achieve operational targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads, clients, and partners across various regions.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to shape the company’s vision, mission, and strategic direction.
  • Drive the execution of the company’s growth strategy, focusing on operational scalability, client satisfaction, and market expansion.
  • Analyze and report on key performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and developing actionable plans for enhanced operational efficiency.

Financial Management:

  • Collaborate with CFO to develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation across global teams and projects.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining a high level of service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor financial performance of project and services contracts and ensure profitability through effective operational management.

Client & Partner Relationships:

  • Collaborate with delivery, sales and business development teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing support of SAP solutions for clients worldwide.
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients, ensuring that expectations are met and exceeded in terms of quality, delivery timelines, and support.
  • Work closely with partners, vendors, and third-party service providers to ensure seamless project delivery and support.
  • Scrutinize proposed solutions in sales proposals to ensure alignment with company standards, client requirements, and legal compliance

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Oversee the identification, mitigation, and management of operational risks, ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Stay up to date with changes in global regulations and best practices related to SAP technologies, ensuring the company remains compliant and competitive.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Champion the use of new technologies and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the client experience.
  • Identify and implement best practices in project management, service delivery, and customer support.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and agility within the global operations team.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business information systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior operations management roles, with at least 5 years in the ERP implementation services industry (ideally SAP services).
  • Proven experience managing global service delivery and operations teams across multiple time zones.
  • Strong track record of driving operational improvements and managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.

Skills

  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage teams in a remote and geographically dispersed environment.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and make data-driven decisions.
  • In-depth understanding of SAP solutions, enterprise technology ecosystems, and service delivery models.
  • Expertise in risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • High level of cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively across diverse global markets and teams.

Other:

  • Ability to work across time zones, with occasional travel to global offices and client sites as needed.
  • Proficiency in SAP systems.
  • Proficiency in tools and systems (Financial, Human Resources, Service Delivery and Resource Management) for managing large professional services organizations.
  • Experience with end-to-end process of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence, financial analysis, and deal structuring.
