Our Client, a carehome in Maidstone Kent, provides exceptional care for our residents, and we’re looking for a talented and dedicated Chef to join the team. Their focus is on creating a warm and welcoming environment where residents feel at home, and a key part of that experience is enjoying delicious, nutritious meals that cater to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook high-quality, balanced meals for our residents, ensuring they meet dietary requirements.
• Work with the care team to create menus that reflect seasonal produce and cater to the specific tastes and needs of residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Manage inventory and ensure the kitchen operates efficiently with minimal waste.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere in the kitchen.
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef, preferably within a care home or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of dietary needs, food allergens, and food safety standards.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Passion for providing high-quality meals that enhance the well-being of our residents.
• A compassionate and caring attitude, with the ability to adapt to the needs of older adults.
• Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
