About the role:

As a Buying Assistant for our Fine Jewellery category, you will support the Buying team in maintenance of assortments, SKU creation, pricing updates, monthly report generation and Special Order management. You’ll work closely with teams across the business including Merchandising, Operations, Finance and more, to drive commercial performance and enhance the guest experience.

The role is offered on a hybrid working basis, typically with 2-3 days per week in our Avonmouth office plus additional national travel as required.

Compensation - competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension, 4 x life assurance, healthcare, 26 days

leave annually (including Christmas shutdown)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assortment Management - contribute to the maintenance of the category core assortments and new launches, accurately updating system data including pricing and SKU set up.
  • Vendor Management - support the Buyer in liaising with all vendors, building strong working relationships.
  • Special Orders - own bespoke orders, liaising with onboard retail teams and vendors to deliver guest satisfaction.
  • Cross-functional working - work in partnership with teams across Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and more to ensure optimal category performance and guest experience.

About you:

  • A basic awareness of retailing/buying would be advantageous, with experience of/a passion for jewellery a bonus.
  • Customer centric, you’ll build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • An enthusiastic team player who can be flexible to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a conscientious and thorough approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; especially Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Structured planning, organisation, and time management skills essential, with the ability to work to own initiative.
  • Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK.
