This role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by developing, monitoring, maintaining, and updating project schedules in collaboration with project teams. This role involves tracking progress, identifying variances, and providing detailed reports to the team, including updates on changes to the critical path and key project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to generate and monitor short-term lookahead schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project plans.
- Break down projects into distinct phases of development, facilitating clear planning and execution.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation to support efficient project setup and management.
- Track project progress and performance against baseline programs and lookaheads.
- Assess and record time impacts and delays.
The Assistant Planner will be instrumental in ensuring projects remain on track and well-coordinated, contributing to their overall success.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in using Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF editors.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to work within a team.
