The Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage high volumes of work within tight deadlines, and enjoys making a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Financial Controller in preparing and presenting monthly management accounts to the CFO.
- Manage the balance sheet and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Provide clear insights and justifications for monthly financial results.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems and processes, driving continuous improvement.
- Partner with regional managers and operations teams to resolve financial queries.
- Support the annual audit process and assist with change and simplification projects.
- Handle additional finance duties as required.
- Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent).
- Technical Skills: Strong financial knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with finance systems.
- Experience: Background in change management is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and precision in financial reporting.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to challenge processes and drive improvements.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who takes ownership and demonstrates initiative.
- Team Player: A collaborative approach, building strong relationships across teams.
