The Role

As Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and success of the organisation. Reporting to the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Financial Reporting - Overseeing and managing financial reporting, including weekly, monthly internal reporting and annual financial statements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting - Collaborating with various departments to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Financial Analysis - Conducting in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
• Compliance - Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Ongoing review and development of systems to improve accuracy & quality of financial information.
• Study Support - The company offers study support to further your professional development.
• Deputising for the Finance Director
  
  

Qualifications

• PQ studying towards professional accounting qualification (ACCA,CIMA, or equivalent.
• Proven experience working within fast pace finance team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools. Xero accountancy software experience preferred.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
