Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Airfreight Import/Export Operator to join a dynamic logistics team in Sale, Manchester. This permanent, full-time role offers competitive pay, a generous benefits package, and the opportunity to work within a fast-paced, global industry.

Key Details

  • Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum
  • Permanent, Full-Time Position
  • Immediate Start Available
  • Monday to Friday - 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • 23 days holiday, excluding bank holidays
  • Company Pension Scheme

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full import and export process for airfreight, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of international shipments.
  • Ensure strict adherence to customs regulations by preparing and submitting all necessary documentation to prevent delays and penalties.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, airlines, and hauliers to ensure smooth freight operations.
  • Prepare and verify import/export documentation, including Air Way Bills, CDS instructions, and commercial invoices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Actively address and resolve logistics-related issues, including shipment delays, customs holds, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Provide regular updates to clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the Key Account Team to ensure operational procedures and KPIs are met.
  • Manage and monitor the schedule for inbound and outbound shipments, overseeing warehouse arrivals and departures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think quickly and confidently in a fast-paced environment with high freight turnover.
